Hello!!!
I can only write from my own experiences, belief, and the research I conducted.
Although we are all entitled to our opinions, let's ensure we are all respectful of one another. These blog posts are for YOU. If there is a topic that you would be interested in that is not currently there, or that was not talked about in-depth, let me know on the contact page, Instagram, or Pinterest :)
Ultimately, please remember that everyone is different and beautiful!
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! (*me screaming at you with love*)
So for today, I'm going to share with you 10 tips to understand your body type.
!!!Please be aware that it is possible to have a combination of the following body types!!!
1.Ectomorph, Endomorph, Mesomorph
Ectomorph is commonly represented as a thin person with a high metabolism rate, e.g., Taylor Swift.
Not sure if that's you?
People with this body type tend to find it hard to gain muscles and fat.
In other words, if you're a person who eats relatively a lot and you are barely putting on weight or none at all...it's probably you.
Endomorph is commonly represented as a naturally strong curvy or round person with a low metabolism rate, e.g., Beyoncé.
Not sure if that's you?
People with this body type find it easy to gain weight and muscle; however, it is more challenging for them to lose weight. So, if you can somewhat identify yourself with that...this could be you.
Mesomorph is commonly represented as a person with a lean and smaller waist with a relatively high metabolism, e.g., Kim Kardashian.
People with this body type find it simpler to gain and lose weight and muscle.
Not sure if that's you?
Well, if you're a person that quickly gains muscle when working out and/or is very compatible with sports requiring explosiveness...it's probably you.
2. Athletic
The ATHLETIC body type (aka rectangle or ruler) commonly falls under the mesomorph body type.
You can consider yourself to have an athletic body type if:
- your body does not have many curves, and your waist has little to no definition
- your body is tall and lean
- shoulder, bust, and hips measurements are about the same

8. Bone Structure
Your DNA plays a determining factor in your body type, especially how fat is taken in and stored. From early childhood to adulthood, your body develops (for example, with your height), and so does your bone structure and proportions. Therefore, as you reach adulthood, your body type should be established regardless of weight gain or loss.
9. Aging
Aging is a huge factor in changing your body type over time. As you age, it is natural for your body to change; especially when starting puberty. For example, my body changed from the beginning of adolescence to now. With a balanced set of activities and/or diets, you can make healthy positive changes from these veryyyyyy natural changes.
10. Exercise & Diets
Healthy exercise and diets are your best friends when it comes to changing your body, either for health reasons or simply because you want to... well, as long as your DNA allows it. For example, I went from an ectomorph to an endomorph to now an endo-mesomorph body type. Likewise, the sports and everyday activities I played and did for as long as I can remember have been: swimming, tennis, track & field, rugby(recent, not frequent), running, and workouts. Currently, the main ones are workouts and running.
In regards to diets, it has been up and down for me; my approach towards diets hasn't always been the best. I've never followed an explicit one simply because of personal preference and just feeling that it wasn't right for me, but I have worked and changed my relationship with food. I just stopped stressing about everything I ate and focused on doing my best to just eat right. From my experience, my suggestion would be to make sure your meals are balanced and limit your intake of unhealthy foods (fast food) and snacks...that's what I do :)
Btw!
Your body can apply to more than one body type at once and it can change throughout your life. Before puberty, my body type was ectomorph. Once puberty started, my body type changed from a relatively tall and athletic ectomorph body type to a curvier endo-mesomorph body type.
As I aged and my bone structure developed, along with various exercises and diets that I experimented with, my body changed. I am definitely not super healthy but I have found a few things that work for me😊
So, what did you learn about your body type? Or maybe, what did I miss?
