Ultimately, please remember that everyone is different and beautiful!

You do not have to feel pressured to pursue the stereotypical waist and curves on which the following advice is based on. Your body, as it is, is beautiful. No one should be judging. Remember that it’s primarily all about making yourself comfortable.

On that note, here is what is generally recommended for your body type:

1. Create a defining waist

  • Create curves by playing with lines and cuts.

  • Wear tight fitted clothing to bring out your waist.

  • Use flattering fabrics around your waist.

2. Avoid!

  • Big prints

  • Adding extra volume

  • Anything boxy / shapeless

3. Tops & Bottoms

  • Dresses such as asymmetric dresses, wrap dresses, X-line dress, and flared dresses

  • Jeans such as high-waisted, skinny, and slim jeans

  • Jumpsuits such as belted, cape, skinny, and straight, and/or fitted bottoms attributes

  • Sleeves such as fitted, sleeveless, and ¾ sleeves

  • Necklines such as the off-shoulder, oval, scoop, and V-neck, and sweetheart necklines

  • Pants such as high-rise, wide-leg, bootcut, slim, and straight pants

  • Shirts such as fitted, belted, and wrapped shirts

  • Shorts such as loose, flared, simple, and high-waist shorts

  • Skirts such as full, pencil, tulip, and A-line skirts

So, there you have it :)

HOWEVER, pleeeeaaaaaaase just do you. I am sure there are many examples where these "rules" weren’t applied and people looked amazing.

Wear what brings you confidence and/or comfort. If it’s something that you want to wear, wear it, go for it!

Plus, confidence & comfort goes a long way😊
